You have gone on a job interview and the job seems to be very interesting, what should you do? Sending a brief note to the person who interviewed you is definitely a good idea. Remember many people may have interviewed for the job and anything you can do to remind the interviewer of you can have positive results.

Most important is to make sure your letter or email is timely, it should be sent the day of the interview or the next day because it may loose its effectiveness. It is imperative when you write this letter that it represents you in a positive way. Make sure your grammar, spelling and any reference to an individuals name is spelled correctly. Make sure there are no typos and keep the letter short. You don't want to take up there time with information given to them earlier.

After you have sent the note to the interviewer then it is time to wait because calling or sending another note to soon can be perceived as bugging them.

When companies search to fill a position it is usually not the only thing on there agenda so do not feel they are ignoring you. Many times they can not fill the position immediately due to other issues going on at the same time. It is a good idea at your initial interview you should casually ask, "When should I expect to hear from you."

If enough time has passed and the date they said you would hear from them has past then you should give them a call to see where you are at with them. Remember to be polite and courteous because this job may not work out for you, if you have left a good impression they may keep you in mind for future positions.
