It is a good idea to have a good work ethic and practice these skills on a daily basis. Most employers are looking for employees that have a good work ethic because they are the ones that are going to be the most efficient for the company and will be able to finish there projects on time.

People will commonly refer to someone with a good work ethic as a person who works hard. This is true but it is also important to have a positive attitude at work as well. You want other around you to rise up to your level of ethic and attitude and the only way to do this is to be positive and look at the cup as always half full.

You always want to be thought of by your superiors as reliable, trustworthy and professional. It is important that your work ethic is a part of you and not something you are trying to put on at work because if it is not genuine it will eventually show and it can cause you to be disliked at work.

Having a good work ethic and a positive attitude can be very helpful during raise time because you want the company to look at you as a great asset and worth every penny they give you. Also if you get in a situation where your company needs to downsize you want to make the cut and employers will be looking at employees who can take on more work and can handle dealing with more pressure.
