Building A Fence - Great Information

Living in the city has its advantages of course but you have to deal with neigbors. When it comes to living in a tight neighborhood, one great way to keep good relations with a neighbor is to build a fence between your yards. This is true in most cases. However, there are times when you can have big problems by building a fence, and this was something I witnessed first hand. It wasn't my yard, as I was a renter, but since I lived in the house in question, it affected my life.

My proprietor decided that building a fence between his property and the property of the guy who lived next to us was a good idea. Robert was a nice enough guy, but he always wanted to criticize to my landlord about something. He was picky about his yard, and we just couldn't seem to live up to his standards. My landlord thought by building a fence he couldn't see into the yard like he does every day and he would just stop complaining. The fence might have also provided us with some privacy. My brother liked to come by and use my yard to sunbathe and when this occurred, Robert always seemed to find something pressing to do in his yard.

When it came down to it, building a fence became a huge ordeal. Of course since Robert did never liked what was going on in our yard, he was not in favor of the building of the fence. Too bad for Robert, whether he wanted it or not the fence was going up. As I never really spent much time out there, it did not matter to me either way. The major problems that Robert though he had with us was that we only mowed the grass once a week, and sometimes we didn't use a weed-eater around the edges. Building a fence seemed like a sane idea to everyone but Robert.

Robert was mad when my landlord brought in someone to start building a fence around the yard. He was convinced that the fence would pass onto his property and would be going exactly through his oak. My proprietor asked for the property records and had the lines between the properties examined to make sure he wasn't building a fence on Robert's property. For a long period, Robert fought every step and managed to delay things. I am not sure what happened later because I moved out a few months after and left the region completely. I would be tempted to go see if the fence ever was erected or if Robert had gotten his way if it wasn't such a long trip.
