The fear of losing the job is great among the career builders. But what are the actions supposed to be if the fear has materialized? A wise decision would be not to sink into depression, but to work on creation of the plan of actions. This plan depends greatly on what you are going to do in future.

After a horrible loss of the dream job, people either try to return to the sphere of business they were successful in or seek for job to earn for living in any available way. If your former job is all you have ever dreamed of, try the following – call former competitors. But the attempt to call personnel department or a try to send a resume via e- mail will not turn into a successful employment. Go "astray" and try to talk to the head of the department you want to work at. Inform the responsible person about your experienced at the competitor's, but be sure not to give up any professional details that might be a cause of a case later. Be as loyal and as trusty as it is only possible. Telling lies is not the way to attract attention of the potential employer for sooner or later he will become aware of your lies. You have to be strong enough for your potential employer not to take advantage of your failure. You should assess your abilities as objectively as it is only possible. Try not to give a chance for your employer to pass your skills of as a lower level qualification and make it a cause of lower salary (www.nap.edu). But if the company is regarded in a perspective of career growth, you may want to start working blow your qualification and work your way to the top. Flexible people who seek new experience in new companies have more chances to get promoted than those, who work in the same company for dozens of years. But this factor will not serve you well, for the employer might think about the reason for you to change jobs so often. Seek for possibilities in the sphere related to the one you worked in. Your experience will be appreciated by the employer that needs profound knowledge and minimum problems. If major corporations are not even worth trying to apply, look at the perspective in smaller companies. You are an experienced worker with chances to grow and to establish nice career opportunities. You have enough experience and skills to make a good career. But if you suffer from constant strain and rapid tempo of work, you might want to change the place of employment to a vacancy in a smaller company. If the place to work is needed urgently, the good idea is to start at the level below your qualification without any doubt. If you are a good professional, your work will sooner or later be appreciated.

If you require a job to cover your bills, part-time will do. This kind of job is good not only for students but also fro those in desperate need of financial resources. It doesn't really matter if the work applies to the sphere you previously worked at or not. Your part-time employment may grow into one more career opportunity or be a waste of time. When you build your own resume, you may mention this experience unless it can harm the overall look of your past.
