"Successful Internet marketers understand the power of 'what' and 'how,'" says Matt Bacak, an Internet entrepreneur. "The power comes from the action inherent in these words. Action is the key."
Bacak goes on to explain that the word 'why' is counterproductive. "Asking why won't get you anywhere," he says. "Instead of asking why something is, instead ask what you can do to make it the way you want it to be. How can I change this? That's what you need to be asking."
Asking action-oriented questions can get you out of a rut and on the road to a solution. Because the question implies action and requires a response, you can't help but react. "Asking why only puts people on the defensive," says Bacak. "It also gives you an opportunity to blame others. Asking what or how puts the focus back on the positive."
Internet millionaires around the world agree that positive thinking and decisive, action-oriented behavior are vital to the success of any businessperson. By using the power of language to your advantage, you will not only convince yourself that your success is imminent, you'll convince everyone around you. "Sometimes you have to make a sacrifice, or go above and beyond," says Bacak. "But if you can ask those important questions, those what and how questions, and if you can answer them, then you've already come more than half way."
