Is your PSP unused just because you don't know how to put music on your PSP? Don't fret, I am going to tell you how to do that in few simple steps.

The first thing you should keep in mind is, your PSP cannot play all music formats. It can only play MP3 and MP4 files. If all you favorite songs are still on CDs, first convert them to MP3 format using a good ripper. There are plenty of CD rippers available.

To put music on your PSP, follow these steps -

* Connect the PSP to your computer via a USB cable. Your computer will detect your PSP immediately and you'll see a new drive appearing in your My Computer section.

* Check the new drive for its contents. Click on the drive and see if it has any folders. More specifically look for a MUSIC folder under the main PSP folder. If you don't see any folders, create a PSP folder first and then a MUSIC folder inside it. This is where your songs will be copied.

* Locate the music files on your computer. Then select and copy them using standard window commands. After copying, select the MUSIC folder on the PSP drive and paste the files; again using standard windows commands.

* Remove the USB connection after you've put all your favorite music. And your're done.
