The Garmin C330 Street Pilot GPS comes complete right out of the box. It comes pre-programmed with detailed street maps and is ready to go in under 10 min. One thing to note is that the C330 gps does not speak street names. It will however tell you to turn right in 400 feet. It will also display the street name on the screen. If you must have a gps, that does speak street names. The Garmin C340 is the next model up and has this feature. Both the C330 and the C340 have simple easy to use menus with a touchscreen.

Let's talk about POI or points of interest. This unit has tons of POI's, including motels, food, fuel, ATM's, Shopping, and more. They are nicely categorized on the menu. You have access to all these things at a touch of a button. You can store up to 500 waypoints. It beats using regular maps!

The Garmin C330 has a simple, compact design. The power and volume buttons are on the right hand side. They are the only buttons on the gps unit. There is also a USB slot on the right hand side for updating maps and firmware.

What's not to like about the C330?

The Screen washes out in bright sunlight.
You can only store 1 route.

Not many cons. Since I'm just being picky.

What's to like about the C330?

Comes with a touch screen for simple easy navigation.
Pre-loaded with maps and is ready to go right out of the box.
Rechargeable battery lasting up to 8 hrs.
Speakers are loud and clear, making it easy to understand.
Unit is compact.
Big icons that make it easy to navigate.

The Garmin C330 gps is a great unit at a great price and will get you from point A to point B with ease. If you want Text to Speech then check out the Garmin C340. It has all the same features as the C330 plus a few more including text to speech.
