Getting Hosting for 1 cent!

How to get very cheap hosting

Many times webmasters are in front of a big dilemma when trying to choose the best web hosting for their site.
Yes , they are right , with the million of web hosts out there it's really a tough choice.
So , you should be asking , what shall I do to choose a good host , that has the best ratio of service offered / price.
I , being a webmaster , have moved through lot of hosts and had my experiences with them , some good and some bad.
What I have learned is that is a waste of money and time to choose hosting based on price.
Yes , you got it , I have tried the so called super cheap hosts , the ones asking for $10 a year and offering "unlimited" resources.
As you guessed it , unlimited was only the problems , downtime , poor support etc.
Now , having learned from my mistakes , my rule of thumb is to go only with established and reputable hosts.
There are a few of them , like Godaddy , Hostgator , DreamHost , Netfirms , BlueHost etc .
I am not going to discuss them all , but I am a long time HostGator customer and must say that I'm very happy with them.

Hostgator offers linux hosting only. All their packages come with all the features needed for a serious website. Baby and Swamp packages allow unlimited domains(add on), which makes a lot of sense if you have multiple websites. They use cPanel, which is the best control panel around. You get Fantastico script installer which will install most of the popular open source scripts with few clicks.

At hostgator have three hosting packages starting from Hatchling ($6.95 pm) to Swamp ($14.95 pm). The price is reasonable for the features and space/bandwidth provided. Recently Hostgator increased the space and bandwidth to unimaginable levels. They also reduced the price of all plans, by introducing 24 and 34 month pre-payment options. The monthly payment now have a small set up charge and is costlier than 12 month rates. Our advice - don't get excited by the unlimited space and bandwidth. They do have limits on file numbers(inodes) and CPU usage to make sure that only reasonable sized accounts remains in the shared servers. But for any site with a reasonable traffic, hostgator plans are more than sufficient. You obviously can not expect a site with few million page views a month to run on a shared host, no matter what bandwidth they offer.

So , in conclusion , I recommend you use hostgator. They have excellent up-time , features and support.Their price is good , but wait , I will give you here a site where you can activate a free coupon and get the first month for just 1 cent . Yeah , that's right , just 1 cent!
The site address is : Hostgator Coupon . Enter the domain name you wish to host with them , and click the activate button in the end and you are done.
Enjoy your hosting for just 1 cent :)
