Another important thing is to have somewhere near the top of the page your keyword in a larger font. So now we have your keyword in the title, in a large font near the top of the page, and scattered about your page.

Get some links that point toward the page you want at the top of the search engine. A great way to do this is by blogging. Use blogger.com or you can use writingup.com. Both work well. Another way to do this is by asking other webmasters with similiar content as your site to exchange links with you or just give you a link. You must have good content or the other person probably won't link to you.
3. Submit your site
Submit your site to the search engines about 1 time per month. So do google, yahoo, msn.com so it will get indexed. I do manual submission so I know that it gets done.
