Understanding Why Men Leave - Signs He Doesn’t Want To Be With You

Are you currently in a relationship but not sure if it’s going well or not? If you are questioning whether your guy wants to be with you it’s probably for good reason; most of the time your initial hunches will be accurate. Trust your instincts when you suspect something is wrong. But if you don’t totally trust your instincts here are seven signs you can watch for that will help you recognize when your man doesn’t want to be with you.

1. He doesn’t come home from work at the same time he used to. Alright, maybe he’s busy and he can’t get out on time. Sure that’s possible. Is this happening every day? If he was in the habit of leaving work on time before and then this suddenly changes he may not be as anxious to get home to see you as he once was, especially if it is going on for a prolonged time.

2. He’s not as quick or accommodating to schedule time with you. Does it seem like you are working harder and harder to make plans with your man to do something together? Is he acting noncommittal when you ask him to do something with you? Does he act excited when you offer suggestions of things to do or does he seem put out?

3. He sits further away on the couch from you than he did before. When you first began dating did you cuddle frequently on the couch? Is your man making little attempt to initiate this type of affection these days? If you are sitting first does he try to sit close to you or does me move for the opposite end of the couch? If he is there first does he give you any indication that he wants you to sit next to him?

4. He prefers to go out with a group of mutual friends than with you alone. Once you’ve convinced him to go out does he suggest that you invite mutual friends to go with you vs. being alone? This may be a sign that he’s not excited about spending an entire evening with you.

5. He won’t associate with your friends. Does your man withdraw whenever you suggest plans with your friends? Did he used to associate with you and your friends but now he won’t. Yes it is possible that he just doesn’t like them and would rather be with you, but rejecting your friends may also be an extension of rejecting you as well.

6. He won’t entertain at your house. Maybe he’s the shy, nonsocial type but if he was once the life of the party and now doesn’t want your friends at your house he may be sending the message that he doesn’t want to get any closer to you through your friends. He may be trying to distance himself from the people that are important to you, thus creating distance from you.

7. He closes himself off from you and doesn’t engage you in conversation. Do you find that you are doing most of the talking? He may listen and supply an occasional answer but he doesn’t easily offer conversation. Maybe he’s had a long day and is tired but if this is occurring for a prolonged time he is likely shutting down and doesn’t want to a path for the two of you to get any closer.
