Day 1 of your Detox Diet
Breakfast -
Large fruit salad consisting of chopped bananas, strawberries, blueberries and apples. This is an excellent way to start the day, with fruits being good body cleansers.
Lunch
Create a large raw salad on a bed of lettuce and watercress. You can choose your favorite salad vegetables from celery, tomatoes, mushrooms, baby corn, red peppers and avocados. Make up a salad dressing consisting of olive oil and cider vinegar and toss the salad to coat it. Add some crunch by sprinkling pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds on the top.
Dinner
Take some fresh vegetables and create a stir-fry. Choose your favorites from baby corn, mange tout, bean sprouts, carrots, zucchini (courgettes) and peppers. Roughly chop the vegetables and very lightly stir-fry them in a wok or large saucepan. You do not want to be overcooking the vegetables because nutrients will be lost. They should still be crunchy when you eat them. Add a little tamari or soy sauce to give the meal a delicious flavor.
For Day 2 of your Detox Diet you can follow a similar regime, but with these variations:
Breakfast - instead of eating the fruit raw, put them in a blender and drink as a smoothie
Lunch - Use some different vegetables to add variety such as bean shoots or rocket.
Dinner - instead of stir-frying your vegetables, lightly steam them instead.
