If you have an effective use of keywords throughout your site you can get search engine services to take notice of your site. Some keywords are better than others with helping you to achieve this goal. Trying less popular keywords fist, and then using more complex keywords will allow you to climb in the rankings quickly. Linking to other sites will also help in improving your site rankings.


2. Link with Other Sites
If you have a link swapping strategy it can also help you attain more traffic to your website. Many site administrators are willing to trade links to their sites if you will do the same for them. You will need to contact the site administrator and request a link swap. By requesting the link swap it will help you gain traffic from the site you swapped with, but also increase your site ranking with the search engines.

Giving other sites free content with a link to your site is also another great tool for getting others to see your site.
Don’t forget to also look at adding your link to local directories, trade associations, and any other association that you are involved in.

3. Pay for Advertisement

Sometimes being willing to put money into your advertising strategy is a good thing, and it can pay off for you if done correctly. Also placing banners and ads in the appropriate place will get you the target traffic you are looking for.

Committing to a paid advertising strategy that produces no results can be costly to your bottom line. Trying a pay per click strategy allows you to only get targeted traffic that you only pay for when someone clicks on your advertising. 4. Link Your Website to your Content
With any form of advertising that you use it is a smart idea to provide your website link on it. Whether it is a business card, letterhead, or printed advertising you are looking to get people to see what you have to offer. Networking is always a great way to grow your business.

5. Encourage Them to come Back for More
To keep people coming back to your site you need to provide good and useful content. It should also be updated regularly to draw attention to your site and bring people back. Word of mouth can be very influential in getting others to your site. If it is something that the masses are turned on by they will tell others and you will see your traffic grow.

6. Web Directories is another good source
Look into getting your site added to web directories since they provide a resource for people who are looking for targeted information. They provide you with the opportunity to get listed by topic and location, thus making it easier to find you and what you offer.

7. Site Navigation is Very Important
If users find it hard to find information on your site then they will not stick around to read your content or purchase your products. To get more traffic you will need to keep them on your site. If the layout is crazy and hard to follow, they will get their information somewhere else.
