Once upon a time you were little, played till the sun set and enjoyed a childhood thinking of no tomorrow. But suddenly tomorrow is here and you are now going to be a parent. 9 months seems like decades each day as long as a year. As a mother you have to take care of your intake. The dos and don’ts list can hit the sky. But why fret, its all made for the mothers care and hence you must try your best to adhere as much as you can. Certainly you cannot do everything. Exact vitamins, proteins, collates, iron and the other nutrients are difficult to achieve in their exact portion everyday. But you must make a conscious effort of giving it your best shot. Of exercising and eating right will only prove beneficial for you.
As a father you get as nervous as the mother because you are attending to all her needs. Giving her the comfort that she needs physically and mentally. Infact mental strength is very important. As she needs to cope with the increasing stress, the size and the physical body amendments.
And lo! Nine months pass away and you have a beautiful little baby in your arms. Tiny fingers, tiny toes….it takes your breath away. One look at your child and you have forgotten all those stressful nine months. Well, the joy of parenthood has just begun for you. Relatives and friends throng to see your newfound happiness and then the common
new baby sayings, oh the baby looks just like the mother, no he looks just like the father. Many parents are disheartened when someone says they do not look like them. But do not take it to heart. An infant’s features tend to change every day. It is only after they are ten that their features stabilize but that too in some cases may change. So you have a long time to know who your child looks like.
And then you bring your bundle of joy home, sometimes parents paint a room and keep it exclusively for the kids. You feel heavenly every time you look at your child. The joys of being a parent are boundless. That first step, that first word and when he or she calls out to you as ma or pa, you are on top of the world. You want to hear them call you out again and again. You can just stand there and see them grow each day. It’s never boring, it’s never stressful. In fact children are stress busters. And once you become a parent, there is a thing in you that feel. So satisfied and so delighted.
