There are two parts to getting out of debt and changing your future. You can either raise your income or lower your outgo. That sounds pretty simple, right? Well, there is a bit more to it than that.
While you cannot out-earn stupidity (believe me, I have tried), you can develop a plan and use an increased amount of income to get out of debt very quickly. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says that in the next 4 years we will see a broad shift in the labor force. Less than 50% of the workforce will be actual employees. The rest will be independent contractors, temporary workers, free agents, electronic emigrants and entrepreneurs.
You can begin increasing your income today in fact. Currently 2 out of every 3 homes in the United States operate a home-based business. Most of those households’ occupants also have full-time jobs. Obviously those people are contributing to the income of their household.
One of my clients recently posted an ad on Craigslist for
computer repair. If he can’t fix your computer, you pay nothing. This may be the deal of the century as he only charges $25/hour and is extremely helpful. Give him a call if you are near Raleigh, NC and need some help with your computer.
Other clients have also gotten involved with making money with ideas that intertwine with their passions.
Melaleuca is a company centered on helping people improve their lives and make them healthier. Several of my clients have become involved in businesses such as this and it’s been their main source of income to help them reach their goals.
What can you do to increase your income? There are thousands of ideas that you could use to double your income. Find one that centers on your
passions and you may have a home-based business that can replace the drudgery of your current job.
