Cruising down the Lijiang River, you will be amazed by the striking beauty of thousands of mountain peaks towering over the river from far and near, retreating and fading quickly as the boat moves on. This area was called the Grotesque Peak Village and people say that it used to be the training ground for Taiping Revolt Army in the Qing Dynasty.
