Sooo many businesses, doing the same thing... Listen, we are subjected on a DAILY BASIS to over 3,000 marketing messages. Therefore you, your product or service MUST stand out. How to do this? Then read on...

This is so critical! I often meet with (although NOT after we have worked together) business owners who simply don’t stand out, or bring anything different, compelling or unique to their audience.

For example... God love ‘em, but in my experience, for every life coach out there, there’s a hundred others all doing and saying exactly the same thing.

No matter what business you’re in, you must DIFFERENTIATE YOURSELF from everyone else in the your field. Do not simply become ‘another…’ (insert business type here) in the market place.

You must, as Jack Trout says, ‘Differentiate or die...’.

As an entrepreneur, you really have a wonderful opportunity to really make a difference in your field; to bring your value and expertise to the market place. And I believe many business owners start out with this intention, but often it’s not truly or fully communicated to their audience.

So... Think about what really makes you stand out. What sets you apart from the competition? NEVER... EVER use the limp response ‘well we offer great customer service’ or ‘affordable prices’. Doesn’t everyone offer this?!

Instead, think about what could almost metaphorically LIFT YOU ABOVE the crowd of competitors and allow you to become revered and valued by your clients.

You will find your U.S.P, it might take time... However it is worth devoting this time to truly finding -- and then establishing -- your ‘niche’ or ‘angle’.

So take some time to consider the following:

i) What really separates your business from the competition, and makes you stand out?

ii) What makes, or could make, your business spectacular?
