How to Purchase Web Hosting Economically

Web hosting companies and their various programs and offerings are so prevalent on the internet that the problem is not in finding one, but rather making the choice between the huge number of offerings. If you are reading this, you are probably a beginner to website development. At least I'm going to assume you don't have a lot of knowledge on the subject, and I intend to keep this as simple as I can.

The idea is to purchase a host that is powerful enough, but not too expensive. You probably won't need a host that is very expensive, at least to start with.

That said, the one thing you do not want to do is use a free site. There are many reasons for this, but the primary one is that you will lose credibility with your customers. If you cannot afford a decent host, why would anyone believe you're a real presence, whether you want to be a merchant, or an expert.

On the other hand, you probably do not need a dedicated server, or heavy duty site with large bandwidth. If you're successful you may need that later, but many economy packages will fit a beginner's needs.

You will need a reliable Internet Service Provider (ISP) to host your website. These days most of them are reliable, but now and then you will still run into ISP's who just can't seem to keep things running. I find it best to use an ISP who is also a domain registrar. It makes things a bit easier to maintain.

Good beginning website hosting can be purchased at www.cyberspaceregister.com for $3.99 per month, and they have domain names available for under $7.95 per year. Those prices are hard to beat, expecially with their telephone tech support, and reliability.
