But how does Hypnosis work to finally curb the urges and destructive patterns?
Well its quite simple, we over eat for many reasons; through comfort, stress, even boredom. Unfortunately if we continue with these eating patterns they become unconscious habits – and very hard to change consciously.
Hypnosis allows us to tap into our unconscious and then reprogram the unconscious to develop new healthy associations to eating the right food whilst creating new strategies to deal with stress, boredom and comfort eating.
Some tips to help you know:
Drink a pint of water one hour before you eat a meal - this will tell you how hungry you really are before eating.
Slow down - put your knife and fork down between eating. Take 15 mintues at least to eat your food.
Focus on how full you are rather how empty you are/
Write a food diary, make a list each day on what you ate, why you ate and how you felt.
