This state of the art ultra sleek designer phone comes full with superior quality properties. At the forefront of which is its Magic Touch Pad Interface, 5 mega pixel camera with 7 mbps connectivity speed and 16 million color display feature - a first of its kind in the Samsung Ultra Edition Phones.

Its high fidelity audio made possible by Bang and Olufsen amplifier, giving you a comfortable and improved music player and an FM radio RDS incorporated within. Entertainment is at its finest with Java, embedded as well as downloadable games, polyphonic as well as MP3 ringtones, and quite a large music library. Text messaging will never be as comfortable with its large keys bordered by metallic margins. So texters never have to worry about mixing up letters. It has enhanced and multi media messaging (EMS and MMS) and the usual predictive text to save you time with texting.

Its camera has 5 mega pixels, with an image stabilizer and a wide dynamic range (WDR). Video recording is only made possible by QVGA, so that may not be its finest feature. For people on the move though, its tri-band quality may not get a 2 thumbs-up, considering mobile phones are all gearing towards a quad-band.

Expect a few grievances with its touch-pad navigation screen from people who are never comfortable with touch screen mobile phones - although Samsung is adamant that the Samsung Soul is different from the other touch screen mobile phones.

The secret? A touch pad underneath the main LCD display that is run by icons. This is something quite new in the world of super-slim slide phones. While we’re on the subject of ultra slim mobile phones, anticipate that the battery life is not up to par with conventional phones.

Unexpectedly, the main concern by most consumers is that the Soul’s ringtones and calls can get a little too soft. But hey, some people don’t mind a bit. Considering you can always reconfigure settings to fit your needs. Plus, the weight, size and shape absolutely crushes Nokia’s N range.

The Samsung Soul is positively the mobile phone for 2008.
