The 3 red lights error on the 360 power button is something that no gamers ever wants to see. It is probably the most feared gaming malfunction that has ever happened. If you have had terrible luck and unfortunately encountered this problem, your 360 is pretty much not good for anything except table decorations unless you can get it fixed. But don't worry as is said previously there are many more people in the same situation that you are in. Unfortunately this is a major problem within the Xbox machine and it cannot be repaired as easily as the other errors. However in can be repaired fairly quickly if you are have the right information guiding you. The problem is due to excessive heat being trapped within the console which in turn damages the vital components that are keeping your system up an running. If you were wanting to send your console back to the company you would have to pay around $150 and wait up to 8 agonizing weeks for it to be shipped back. Personally, I think 8 weeks is a ridiculously long time to go without gaming and I don't want to pay the $150 either! But that is only if you have the warranty, so no warranty, no fix. That sucks!
