Avoid overloading power points ...
Putting many plugs in one socket is dangerous. It is called "piggy-backing". Use a power board or have a Qualified Electrician install an extra power point.
Protect power points ...
If there are young children in the home plug protectors should be placed on all power points.
Water conducts electricity!
Never touch electrical appliances with wet hands. Take extra care in the bathroom. Make sure hairdryers and shavers cannot fall into the bath or basin. Do not use electrical appliances or extension leads in wet conditions.
Faulty appliances ...
If you receive a tingle or a shock from a faulty appliance, disconnect it immediately. Throw it away or have it repaired by a Qualified Brisbane Electrician.
