And you believed them?

I suppose we have all done it.
We have opened an email and started reading the honeyed words and seductive half truths of gurus. We have been sucked into the belief that, somewhere out there, is an instant fiix for all our financial woes.
We have probably even spent money because the honey and seduction were enough to lower our defences, once again so that we bashed our credit cards one more time. Some of us have done this so many times that we are now addicted to the latest, greatest, can't fail, work in your knickers opportunities that we have our credit card in hand before even thinking about the product.
We have become compulsive opp-hoppers.
What brought this home to me was something that I bought recently. It is a great, two volume set of advice, instructions and "how to's" that were going to solve all my online problems with Adwords.
The product is very impressive and I have had great value from it (even if it is a little further advanced than I am) and do not regret the high price - BUT - it wasn't long before the guru who sold it to me started sending me emails.
Now, these WEREN'T to ask how I was getting on with his product. They WEREN'T to give me little extra tit-bits that could enhance what I had bought. They WERE to sell me something else claiming to do what his product was already supposed to be doing!
I'm very fortunate in being somewhat financially embarassed or I just might have been tempted to buy something else - that's how emotively worded his emails were.
It is clear to me that I am not a customer to these gurus - they seem to think I am an ever open wallet with no end to its' contents.
I'm on to their little game now and simply do not believe the inflated claims of the efficacy of their training to get me earning $'000s while I sleep. Thank God for one honest man who has shown me how to start small and build. Not only do his ideas work, they make sense too.
