One of the first thing any home owner should do is do what ever it takes to keep black mold out of the home. sometimes mold can be growing for days or even weeks before home owners find out it is even there. This is a scenario that recently just happened to me and my family. We live in florida so we have the air conditioning running constantly. Usually the air conditioner will cycle off and the condensation will be drained through a small pipe outdoors. This was always working properly until recently. I couldn't believe that all the moisture was literally dripping on top of the water heater. I always thought the water was draining properly just like it always did. Too bad i didn't get that call right. I iwoke up with a suprise the next morning and found out that my hall way area was flooded with water. I took a peak at the a/c unit and couldn't believe how much water was literally leaking everywhere. But now i saw the real problem because the black mold had already began to spread on the wood and sides of the air conditioning unit. I had a bad feeling that this mold issue has been there for a at least a couple days. The bad thing is i didn't realize it until now.

The main option i had was to figure out how and where this thing was leaking water from. The next thing i needed to do was find out which natural mold removers that i could use that would not only remove the mold but would be safe to use around my family as well. I had a feeling that the drain pipe was the reason for the leaks. I wanted to start off with the most easiest and logical reason for this problem first before i started getting in deeper. And as luck would have it that seemed to be the cause of all this mess. The drainage pipe was clogged with black mold and algae. I reached for the toxic black mold cleaners and poured it all over the inner drain pipe area. I was suprised how good of a job it did cleaning both the algae and the mold and mildew.

The next thing i had to do was get rid of all the mold spores that were in the carpet areas. I took a drive to the hardware store and got me a water extraction machine and sucked up most of the standing water in the carpet. Since the carpet was not dry in the hallway I then sprayed all the carpets and walls of the air conditioning closet with my natural mold cleaner. I waited about 15 minutes to let the solution work its way deep into the base of the carpet. I made sure i used a dry rag on the walls to make sure they were not wet and mold free. i then used my vacuum cleaner to brush up the mold from the carpetand the brushes did the scrubbing while i dragged the vaccuum over the carpet.

Since then, I have done my best to keep this black mold from returning and causing me grief. I am extremely blessed that my family and i weren't exposed to this mold for longer periods of time. i have heard tales about other home owners had to give up their homes because the toxic mold levels in their home were so high that it was unsafe to live in. Fortunately for me, i caught the problem before it became worse. Now i know to keep an eye on my air conditioning unit each and every day to make sure it won't leak again.
