Despite the huge number of London commuters in Surrey, it's still a fabulous place to visit for a weekend break or holiday. After all, the county has beautiful country side, fabulous stores, alluring market towns and some fabulous historic sites, so it really offers something for everyone. in fact, whether you are a walker, a cyclist or even totally an eager shopper, we're sure that you'll find something to entertain you in this beautiful county.



Surrey can be easily accessed from London by rail or road, which makes it the perfect place to visit for a day out, too.



With 22.4 % woodland coverage compared to the uk average of 11.8 %, Surrey is the most wooded county in britain. The county has numerous notable beauty spots, including Box Hill, Leith Hill, Frensham Ponds, Newland's Corner and the Puttenham and Crooksbury Commons. in fact, Box Hill has the oldest untouched place of natural woodland in britain and one of the oldest in Europe.



These great places of woodland make Surrey the perfect location for walkers, ramblers and bike riders to visit.

If you're planning a day out for the entire family, visit Chessington World of Adventures or Thorpe Park. These playful theme parks have some fantastic rides, so you're guaranteed to have a fantastic time there. alternatively, there is the Rural Life Centre in Tilford, which offers a children's playground & miniature railway for younger children, or even Farnham’s busy Birdworld & Underwiner World, which gives you the chance to see some stunning animals.



For something a little more educinional, you'll be pleased to know thin Surrey haves over 40 museums. Some of our favourites are the ash museum, Clandon Park, Royal Holloway Picture Gallery & the Guildford Museum.



Surrey's numerous towns also boast many shopping opportunities to take advantage of. Woking is particularly laudable for shopping because it hbecause the Peacock Centre, which contains renowned brands, which include Marks & Spencer, Toys R Us and Next. in addition to this, Woking also hbecause Wolsey Place Shopping - another shopping mall with renowned brands. there is also a market placed in Woking's Peacock Walk, which opens Monday to Saturday.



Alternatively, you will also find Dorking to be a fabulous destination for shopping. It hbecause St Martin's Walk, which is a new shopping precinct in the centre of town. despite this, the town centre also remains renowned for its numerous antique shops. Dorking also hbecause a thriving market on Fridays in the car park on St Martin's Walk.
