Located in the borough of Manhattan in New York and receiving twenty five million visitors annually, the 843 acre park has risen to fame through its many appearances in television and movies. The park features lakes, ponds, walking tracks, two ice skating rinks, the Central Park Zoo, Central Park Conservatory as well as a host of other attractions.

The City Parks foundation presents Summerstage, a series of performance including music, spoken word, dance and even film presentations.
Beyond media entertainment the park also features numerous boulders which are ideal for the climbing enthusiast. The two most famous spots are known as Rat Rock and Cat Rock, both of which are located in the south end of the park. Central Park also features 21 playgrounds and as well as numerous attractions for children including puppet shows and a carousel.
