One the widely advertised advantage of the Samsung Soul phone is the Magic Touch. What exactly does it do? What makes it so special that it trumps the present generation of touch screen features? Is it convenient to have for a phone that would require you to both press and touch things so that you would be able to get to where you need to be?

Many users may find that when they close the new Samsung Soul they would press the magic touch not so magically. So how do you avoid doing this? Simple, you close the phone by the rounded edges. But would that be convenient for everyone? I don’t think so. I am one of those folks who slip and press things a lot on my mobile and this was a problem for me when I was trying out the Soul phone.

But it is definitely a bit change from and far removed from the D-pad, I can tell you that.

Still you have to get used to using the Magic pad and your keypad when you are trying to select and use some of the functions. It takes days to get the hang of this setback.

The color of the icons can change and they seem to come alive as suppose to the typical touch screen where you have to wait and wonder if you have actually clicked the stationary icon properly for it to get you to where you need to be on you mobile.

This pad would make going to the saved stations on the radio function faster though. So you don’t have to keep opening or searching for your favorite frequency whenever you feel like listening to your local disk jockeys.

If you have tiny fingers this touch pad would be heaven for you. But if you are as unfortunate as me to have stubby fingertips then it would really be a bit of a pain to have to try not to press the wrong icon. Surely this would be something that would need some getting used to. You can’t press blindly unlike before, that’s for sure.

But if you can change the look of your phone, take pristine macro pictures with a camera with image stabilizer and face detection then maybe some of the slips of the Magic touch can be permissible, right?

This phone may not feel like it is as magical as they have built it up to be but it has its lovable features.

For one thing, its futuristic metallic look would appeal to both adults and students whose orientation would be for something that is stylish but with less of frills on the side. Although the Samsung Soul comes in three colors as of press time, Samsung has promised to release models that would appeal to those who like their mobile to match their favorite color.

The actual aggressive marketing strategy that would ensure that consumers would be able to get a hold of the Spirit of Ultra is to make it affordable. That could be the clincher.

When you are considering taking out a new mobile phone contract, make sure that you shop around. Good mobile phone deals can be difficult to find, so make sure you compare all the major retailers, especially if you are after the Samsung Soul.
