Most mothers seem to feel stretched in every direction when it comes to the workforce. They feel like they need to stay at home with kids to be able to watch them grow up and make sure they are safe.
Letting other people raise your kids is frowned upon and often any mom who works regular hours is forced to take her children to daycare or a babysitter if they are not yet school-aged. Even when they are moms will need to arrange someone to pick them up or watch them once they get home.
However, once those moms do decide to stay home and not work, people judge her and say she does not work hard enough. She may even feel inferior to her husband the breadwinner, who is given more power in the household in such cases. It seems like she cannot win either way.

Obviously you still need to get a certain amount of work done with these jobs but the flexibility allows you to work while your kids are at school. Then you can either take a break to pick them up or just wait for the bus to bring them. Either way you can be there when they get home. You can then work more while they do homework, take a nap, or go to bed.
Such jobs for working moms offer much more flexible schedules than the typical job, allowing you to strike a balance between being a mom and an employee.
