The Two Types of Diabetes

Type one is child diabetes, also called infant diabetes. Because this type is often seen in children, it is considered to be more severe. The pancreas produces little or no insulin at all.

When the body is in such a condition, the patient has no choice but to take insulin to keep the body from going into shock. It is very important to carefully watch the diet to lower the intake of carbohydrates. Exercising regularly and making sure the body gets proper nutrition may help certain people with this type of diabetes to avoid taking insulin from outside connections.

Type two diabetes is more common in adults. But because of the enormous amounts of sugar and carbohydrates being consumed our daily diets, teenagers are contracting type two diabetes. Consuming a large amount of these foods can cause the blood sugar level to become toxic. Energy and nutrition are the direct results of insulin delivering the sugar it has taken from the blood, to the cells of the body.

If the body continues to get high sugar levels, then the cells continue to get high quantities of insulin, causing the cells to resist it. It creates a fierce circle as increased amounts of insulin tries get the sugar out of the blood and into the cells.

Diabetes causes the blood to become condensed with insulin and the body is unable to create enough insulin to remove the sugar from the blood.
