Let the Master Bath be a MasterPiece!
11th July 2008
The master bath should be private and spacious. There’s a lot more to it than just a sink and a shower. The details and fixtures should be carefully considered before construction begins. Custom fixtures and select materials will create a space that’s both functional and pretty. Here are some important elements that will make your master bath special: a frameless glass shower, built from 3/8-inch thick glass and heavy ball-bearing hinges for smoother opening and closing; the rain showerhead used in conjunction with a standard showerhead; the air-actuated whirlpool tub, it’s self-cleaning and has fewer drainage issues than a typical whirlpool; and finally, floor heaters, very inexpensive to install during new construction, so plan ahead and be warm! All of these features translate to real comfort. There are many incredible master bath designs found in the house plans from Southern Living, checkout www.slhouseplans.com to be showered with ideas.
