But now, there’s another newcomer on the block. Stephen Gilbert, who claims to be a young entrepreneur, is doing the same thing. His catch? Sell all 1,000,000 pixels for 0.50 cents apiece, and buy these pixels to reserve your spot in an internet Time Capsule for a Lifetime. He calls it the Half a Million Dollar homepage. His slogan? Make Internet History the second time around. His site can be seen at Halfamilliondollarhomepage.com. With a similar look, idea, and slogan, he hopes to make his time capsule and Alex’s time capsule “official” in a sense that they are brother and sister pages. He states in his blog that his reason for making the site is, that those 1,000,000 pixels were just 1,000,000 pixels. What about the people that still want their name to go down in history? He is guaranteeing that the page will stay up for his entire lifetime and that for a measly 0.50 cents a pixel your name can go down in the internet history books.
It seems like a great idea to be honest, especially because Milliondollarhomepage.com has sat there for 3 years gaining random traffic and wowing visitors.
