My first holiday to Cancun was many years ago, and I have been going back every 2 or 3 years ever since, mainly because it has everything that I'm looking for, with Great beaches, Great hotels, Great Food, Great golf, what else do you need.

The hotel zone is the area of Cancun where everything sort of joins together, especially for the tourists, with the main road Kukulcan Blvd.

To the west side of the island is Laguna Nichupte, a vast lagoon which caters for restaurants, marinas, shopping malls, a couple of golf courses and some amazing sunsets, and to the east you have the Caribbean Sea, home of the great sunrise.

All the best bars, clubs, restaurants and shopping are in, what is known as the Party Zone, and of course it can get pretty Hot..

Your holiday in Cancun should definitely include some time spent in the Downtown area, as this will get you away from the razzamataz of the Hotel Zone.

Downtown is where the locals live and shop, so the atmosphere becomes much more Mexican, and you can still find some great restaurants and bars which will have much lower prices than elsewhere, so your wallet will certainly appreciate it.
