Many acne products today like to use the chemical salicylic acid. This acid is great for deep cleansing of the pores, and it is often widely used among acne sufferers to rid many of the problems their skin has. Popular acne brands like Murad and Sensiclear use this chemical in their acne creams, usually using concentrations of roughly 2.5 percent, successfully eliminating clogged pores that formed from the mixture of dead skin cells and sebum. But, also many acne sufferers had no luck with salicylic acid, and we'll talk about how to maximize the effects of salicylic acid to make it work for you.

Salicylic acid is one of the best chemicals for removing blackheads and whiteheads, so definitely don't pass this opportunity up. Sensiclear only uses a low concentration of this chemical to be safe, however if you had no luck with lower concentrations, why not bump it up a notch? There are many companies today selling higher concentrations of salicylic acid. This chemical strictly attacks clogged pores, allowing the pores to practically ooze out sebum after its application. Many people like to use from 10 percent concentration up to 30 percent concentration. This acid reduces the amount of dead skin cells you have on your face.

However, all good things come at a price. Salicylic acid does dry out the skin, so you will need a decent moisturizer to go along with it. Also, higher concentration salicylic acid is also more dangerous than the concentrations used in acne products like Sensiclear. Be aware that if you get it into your eyes, you will need to take appropriate measures to get it out immediately. Even with these downsides, to remove acne quickly and effectively is what salicylic acid does, and you should consider using this acid to help treat your blackheads, whiteheads, and other acne.
