Self esteem is more about what you think and feel about yourself. When it comes to personality, everybody loves to have perfect body capable of attracting others. If you are not happy with your body image, you will have low self esteem. People who are not satisfied with their current looks will not have self confidence. Your personality appeals first to others and hence there is nothing wrong in concentrating on your body image to improve your self esteem.

Teenagers who are in their puberty stages worry more about their body images. They compare themselves to other models and start feeling unhappy about their body. Since puberty cycles are different for every individual, comparison should not be done at this stage. Thinner girls and bulkier guys are said to be in perfect shapes and teens who don’t fit in this category start feeling down. This will greatly affect their self esteem motivating them to stay aloof to escape from negative comments about their body. Adolescent people should realize and accept the hormonal changes happening in their body. Accepting yourself as you are is very important to boost your self esteem.

If you are watching yourself in the mirror and feel that you don’t have a perfect shape, then you have to start exercising to get the shape you prefer. This will greatly improve your self esteem, as you will feel much better when you regain your shape. Looking healthier is different from feeling healthier. If you are telling to yourself that you hate your body, then it is time to reduce your body fat. By exercising regularly, you can cut off the fat in unwanted areas and look healthier. This will help you feel healthier as you start loving your body.

You should not expect positive vibrations to start from others but it should start from yourself. You can follow exercising and dieting to look healthier but you should not get too much involved and strive to get the model’s figure. Understand that you cannot compare your body with somebody else because you are a unique person. If you look fit and healthy, you will be loved by others too and hence, you will start receiving positive comments. These positive vibrations will boost your self esteem and let you feel confident about your body. Start loving yourself and these optimistic thoughts will attract other optimistic persons bringing happiness in your life.
