Aeronautics' Orbiter Mini UAV systems, has been successfully delivered to a European NATO customer.
The Customer's personnel had successfully accomplished a training series at Aeronautics' sites.
The 2.2m-wingspan Orbiter was operated by the Customers' trained personnel from the man-portable Ground Control Station featuring advanced waypoint navigation and camera-guided flight modes. The Orbiter and its Stabilized Miniature Payload performed very well in these flights, even during weather conditions of light rain and high wind.
The Orbiter Mini UAV System Is a compact and lightweight system designed for use in Military and Homeland Security missions. The system presents the ultimate solution for Over the Hill reconnaissance missions, Low Intensity Conflicts and Urban warfare operations as well as any close range
ISR mission.
The Orbiter mini UAV is easily controlled in either waypoints Navigation or Camera Guidance modes. The Orbiter System can be transported, assembled, launched and operated by just one person after minimal training. The entire system fits into one backpack and no additional personnel need to be fielded.
