Brochure Printing Basics

With the many options available to your brochure printing needs, brochure printing seems to have become a paradox or more accurately, an oxymoron that contradicts itself in a lot of ways. It is easy to design because of the variety of things that you can do with how you want your brochures done. It is also hard to design because of exactly the same reason I mentioned above.

Brochure printing has become one of the most used marketing strategies by businesses in order to promote and advertise their products and services. However, since it has become the marketing materials of choice by many, It is getting harder and harder to have brochures that are effective and that will stand out amongst all others.

So if you are one of the few that want to avoid the norm and create brochures that are a cut above the rest, here are some tips that could help you:

The Layout
You should always use images - compelling images to be exact. The images you use should create an emotional bond with your future clients so that it will be easier for them to pick up your brochures and not just ignore it. When you create or stir an emotional response from your target audience, it means that your brochures work and that they are effective.

Also in your layout, your text should be readable and you should try to use headings to guide your readers to the next point that you want to highlight. Limit the number of text but let your audience have a very good idea of what you are offering. Remember, keeping it short and sweet will lead your prints in becoming a very readable material.

The Color
Although black ink on your brochures would look neat and professional; it lacks the attention grabbing qualities that color gives you. colors bring more life and colors generate more attention. However this does not mean that you should not avail of single color printing or two color printing services. You should if you have reasons like budget constraints. or if your design calls for you using only a single color. When this is the case, these services will definitely help you in the way you want your prints done.

The Printing Process
There are two choices that you have when thinking of the printing process: offset printing and digital printing.

Offset printing allows you to print your materials in bulk at a very fast turnaround time. offset printers use metal plates in order to produce your prints fast. These plates are run through different ink rollers and then rolled again an again in order produce the decided number copies. With offset printing, the cost of your prints per piece goes down every time you make an additional order. this is because the plates can be used again and again and you no longer need to pay for it.

Digital printers on the other hand are different as they allow you to print in short run as opposd to bulk printing in offset. Digital prints are affordable in the short run and are very cost effective alternative in small marketing and advertising campaigns.
