Your ex has just announced the bad news. He/she tells you that he/she wanted to break up with you. Of course, this is not what you really want and you are rather upset about it.
So what can you do? Well, depending on your particular situation, you may want to take different action. However, if you have just broken up and he/she is the one who suggested the break up, it is best that you do not contact her immediately.
It is best that you wait for one more month before you try contacting him/her again. There is a reason why you do not want to contact him/her immediately.
First, you are probably feeling quite lousy now and most probably, you will not be able to say the right things to get him/her back to you. In fact, you may tend to do something that makes you look desperate and needy in the eyes of your ex.
Second, you can take this opportunity to put yourself out of your own relationship, so that you can look at it in a more objective way. Maybe you will realize that this relationship is not worth saving after all. Or you may realize what went wrong in your relationship and try to fix it if possible.
After one month, you can then try to contact him/her again. Of course, you will want to find out whether he/she is still interested in you. If he/she is no longer interested anymore, then you will have a very tough time and it may be better for you to just let go and move on.
