Face it, we are now at the 20th century, almost everything are new. In this generation, new modern decors arise, and one of which is modern lamp.
If you think about good taste in décor and wish to get some for your home, as you roam around, modern lamps are everywhere. As you look around and even on the internet, you will find lots of different modern lamps; actually, they come will different sizes, colors, designs, patterns and style.
As I can remember, I went to my friend';s house and I find a modern lamp hanging there, my attention went into it automatically. I stared at the floating, attractive, sparkling and elegant modern lamp.
With these modern days, not only clothing and accessories are being modernized, even stuffs at home are being modernized as well, in order to fit modern people. But it doesn';t need to be too expensive and classy as long as it gives beauty and stylish look in your home, most probably modern lamp will serve it purpose it beautifying your home.
Compare it to a chandelier, modern lamp can be displayed any where around the house. It can be on the top of the side table in your living room or beside your bed that you usually use in reading books before sleeping. Unlike with chandeliers, you need to have a high ceiling and wide room to place a chandelier. Though chandelier can really give elegance to your home, but in terms of maintaining the style and cleanliness, modern lamp is a decoration that doesn't need high maintenance. With the use of a feather duster you can easily clean it.
Usually modern lamp are being place beside the bed, as seen in some magazines and some scenes in a movie in the television, modern lamp are use in bed to provide a dim light for night readers in their bed. These helps in having a bright light to your sleeping partner and give enough light for you to read your favorite book. It can also be an alternative if you want to change the mood of a room, with dim light in your room can give a romantic and solemn look on your room. This is usually useful for those who are going to have their first night or for those newly wed who want to have a romantic light effect in their room. It will surely give romantic accent while lying in your bed with the one you love.
If you want to have a modern lamp in a living room, one suggestion that I can say is, do not put a modern lamp in a huge room because the light that it has would not be sufficient to give the effect light that it usually brings. Make sure that it is installed in a small room that can serve its purpose in giving a dim light. Modern lamp can be put in a living room provided that it will not be lit it will only serve as an accessory to some big furniture and display in your living room.
