Winter may be a favorite season, but surely it brings a lot of unpleasant things. In these cold days everyone should be prepared for the possible. In this period of the year we have got to be prepared against possible outbreak of the flu. This disease is really widespread in The US, but citizen do not now anything about the illness and the treatment of it. So let us throw additional light onto the problem and reveal some of the dangers that this disease might cause.

Every schoolchild knows that flu is contagious. This disease is most common in all the countries where people experience cold and mild winters. First symptoms are slight chough, fever, running nose and tiredness. It may only seem slight but indeed when a person doesn't take treatment, several complications might occur. Sometimes carelessness results into lethal cases with severe pneumonia. Nowadays there is no other influenza prevention than vaccination. Some of the doctors state their ineffectiveness. If one wants to be vaccinated, he or she is to think ahead for his organism to create immune cells and this complicated process takes months. One should get vaccinated several months before the possible outbreak is to occur. Professional state that the best time to do it is the period between October and November. The statistics developed by the state says that 20% of US citizen get infected by influenza every year (www.nap.edu). Professionals also distinguish groups of people that are extremely vulnerable to this infectious disease. These groups of people are usually vaccinated obligatory in order to prevent wide spread of the disease. Now it is time to reveal who belongs to these groups.


The so called "senile community" members belong to one of the group. This means that citizen at the age more than 54 have to be vaccinated. Why? People at this age tend to have various problems with health due to the lifestyle and weakness of the immune system. Another group is children under 7 that also are very vulnerable to any kind of contagious disease. Unfortunately not all the personnel with loud speaking good resume objective are professionals that are able to handle the outbreak. The state is indeed to work more on that to protect those who need it.
