So you're thinking about working from home and you're a mom, but you're wondering if this is a legitimate way to go. You may question if you'll actually make money. Maybe you visualize sitting in front of the television stuffing envelopes, or keeping little Tommy away from the product you just assembled. Well that's a vision of the past, and the vision of the future for us moms is much brighter. Why not get a regular 9 to 5 job going? Or maybe if you're feeling lucky, no job at all (cause face it, being a mom is a full-time job.) There are numerous benefits to working at home. I'll name a mere few.

Set your own hours

Why does that even matter? If you're a mom reading this, that's a silly question isn't it. Just picture you're vomiting child at 2am. I’m sure you'll be feeling spry for a fresh new work day in the morning, and not to mention who will take your sweet precious vomiting Virginia for the day? Let's not forget appointments. We have the doctors and the dentists who work when you work, unless of course you're up for an emergency fee. There are soccer practices, school performances, and the list goes on. Setting your own hours is definitely a plus especially if you want to put your family as your number one priority. A job where you're not the boss won't always allow you to do that without being penalized in some way.

Extra cash without the daycare

No more needs to be said here. The average household income is just over forty thousand a year, but yet prices of everything seem to be soaring. It may not be extra cash for us, but a necessity. Daycare isn't cheap either. It's a balancing act and working from home seems to solve many problems. Although in order to make a success out of it, it's essential to be organized and find those blocks of time where you can work.

A sense of fulfillment

I'm not saying this is for everyone. But for those moms who want to be home for their children and pursue their own interests, this is definitely the way to go. You can balance your life on your terms. It's your personal experiences that have brought you to this point. Anything that is ever created successfully has to first be envisioned, and then with hard work and persistence, you can achieve anything. Maybe you already have something in mind, but if not look for ideas where you can be successful on the internet/computer or any at-home business undertaking. This is the time where you can enter the entrepreneurial workforce. Let your creativity flow, and good luck!
