Find a celebrity who has a look you like and who has your hair and skin color. Pay
attention to the makeup colors that she's using and try to duplicate them. Take a
color picture of your selected star with you when you buy your makeup. With a little
bit of practice you can achieve the same look.

The most important thing about choosing your makeup colors is to know whether
your skin is cool or warm.

Choose cool colors if:

• Your skin tone is olive, a rosy brown color or a light rosy color, olive, rosy
brown, fair medium rosy and…
• Your hair color is dark, black, blond, or any of the brown tones except a
golden brown and…
• Your eyes are blue, green or hazel

Choose warm colors if:

• Your skin tone is golden or medium fair and…
• Your hair is golden brown, red or strawberry blond and…
• Your eyes are hazel, dark or medium brown

Not everyone will fit neatly into one of these categories. If your skin, eyes and hair
colors cross the lines between warm and cool, then use cool colors on the cool
areas of your body and warm on the others. For example, you may need a cool
blush and a warm eye shadow.

The ultimate goal is to paint a picture of beauty using makeup that accentuates your
natural look but does not define it.
