Are you hosting a spa party? Then you're going to need spa party invitations!
Why not get creative and make your own that are so much more personal than a store bought invitation? There are several ways you can create your spa invitations, let's look at the quickest and easiest way first.
Computer made spa invitations are not only quick and easy but inexpensive. You can use white computer paper and add color using a background or border which you can find in your word processing program. All computers come with clip art you can use to decorate your invitations if you're not happy with the clip art your computer comes with. You can find free clip art by typing that phrase into your browser. If you're having a themed spa party such as nails and pedicures then you would want to use clip art that goes with your theme.
To make your own spa party invitations, you can use either plain white or colored computer paper. Card stock works best and comes in several colors. Cut the card stock in half and then fold in half. On the outside you can draw or trace a hand. Be sure to define the fingernails, you can either use magic markers to color in the nails or paint. I suggest using an assortment of colors that paint each fingernail a different color. Then add a very small shiny sticker to each nail. Put all the party information in the inside of your card.
Another spa party invitation idea is to find a picture of a relaxing scene such as a waterfall or a nature sense and glue it to the outside of the invitation. And as a added touch, spray a little "squirt" of an aromatherapy oil such as lavender or vanilla both are very relaxing. Then of course put the party information inside the card.
Your invitations should be based on your theme to set the tone of the party right from the beginning. If you opt to purchase invitations, you can spruce them up by making a bath salt bag and attaching it to the inside of the invitations.
To make the bath salt bag you will need a colorful piece of netting cut into a 2X2 square, then add a tablespoon of homemade or store bought bath salts to the center of the square, gather the netting from the edges and tie off with a bow. Try to make the bag as flat as possible, then attach another piece of ribbon to the bag and attach it to the invitation.
It's not only a nice added touch but a nice little gift for those who cannot attend.
Now your spa party invitations will set the mood for relaxation and fun for you and the girls!
