Can the average person succeed in network marketing and direct sales? Fortunately the answer to that question in most cases is probably not. I say fortunately for a reason and we will get to that later. The truth is that the vast majority of people do not succeed in network marketing and direct sales.

You may join an opportunity and be excited about the pay plan the products or maybe the opportunity to be on the ground floor of something. You then start advertising and telling people about the opportunity but for some reason you find people aren't getting excited about it the way you are. Most people will see your opportunity as just another of the 100's or 1000's of opportunities out there.

The reality is people don't care about your opportunity. What people are looking for is not the right program to join but the right person to join. People are social animals and most people are seeking a strong leader to follow. If you study the people who are successful in MLM and direct sales you will find that they are not average people. These are people with alpha qualities they are leaders and people are attracted and drawn to them. If someone joins your opportunity these are the people they will probably sign up with.

Most of these leaders weren't always this way. Most of them were average people when they started out. If you listen to their stories you will find they often struggled for several years until they “found the right program”. Truth is it wasn't the program it was their own transformation from an average person to a leader who naturally attracts people that was a key to success.

Here is why I say it's fortunate that average people typically won't succeed in network marketing and direct sales. Why would you want to stay average? Wouldn't life be better if you were to transform into a leader that people are drawn to? This is an industry that forces you to become better person in order to succeed. Not only will this help you in business but in all aspects of life when you become the kind of person that people admire and are drawn to.
