It was a drab Friday and I was in a black mood that day. My shoulders were hunched. I dragged with a shuffle. I avoided eye contact. My normal "life-of-the-party" spirit was dead.... and somehow that shrouded me with a queer impenetrable invisibility.

Wherever I went, people didn't take notice. The salesgirl failed to serve me. The waiter didn't pass the menu. And a dog nearly ran me over.

Odd. It was the first time I ever felt like a none-entity. Being invisible was no fun.

Around lunch time I entered Starbucks and grabbed a shot of mocha frapuccino.

ZAP!! WHAM!! BANG!

The caffein blasted my mood... and with it, my vital energy came flooding back. I reared higher. My gait widened. I made eye contact. And best of all, I began smiling.

The magic didn't stop there. With my personal energy cascading like Niagra Falls, I beheld an explosive effect on those around me. Strangers greeted me with wide grins. A happy police offer waved. Pretty women did second takes. And a dog ambled over to be petted.

What a difference one's mood does to those around us!

Want to be the life of the party? Simply Keep your mood up. People pick up on your energy and gravitate instantaneously.

Here are a few tips to get you pumping:

* Straighten up, smile and walk with confidence.
* Smile radiantly from within. Smile from the eyes.
* Take pains to address specific people and greet them.
* Pay attention to little details and revel in them.
* Let your voice ring with pep and perk

* Allow your inner spirit glow.
* Voice your opinions in an assertive manner.
* Solicit for advice and listen intently.
* Hum to yourself till your chest reverberates.
* Sing in the shower.
* And don't forget the coffee.

Want to be invisible? Do the opposite.
