PLR and Free Reprint Content are both popular options that website owners use when trying to drive traffic to their site. While both content choices are excellent ones to use, it’s sometimes difficult to decide which one to use when. Each option has benefits and drawbacks that could either help you or harm you. In order to know which choice to use for your needs, you should explore the pros of cons of both.

Free Reprint Content

Free reprint content are articles that are provided on article directories for others to use on their own websites as well as give readers informative material to read. The author of the article is usually deemed an expert in the field they’re writing about.

Pros

Free reprint articles are free to use on your website. They come already written for you and are easy to grab and publish on your own web pages. You don’t have to be an expert in the topic your website is about, because the author of your reprint takes care of that role for you.

Cons

The downside to using reprint articles is the fact that you have to reprint the article with the author’s bio and links along with the content. This can be costly to you if the author of the reprint you chose created an article that proves to be useless. Some of those authors publish material on the directories just to have links back to their sites. They don’t put much thought and effort into the article itself.

If your reprint falls under that category of useless material, your credibility for your online business is now in jeopardy; due to your site publishing it and giving the impression that you promote the author. When your credibility is down, your sales could come down.

Private Label Rights

Private label rights or PLR content comes in the form of articles and reports. This form of content is pre-written for you on a topic that relates to your site. These articles and reports are inexpensive to buy and they can be used in many different ways to suit your business.

Pros

You can purchase PLR to provide fresh content for your site, blog, e-courses, information products, and almost any type of content you can think of. This type of content can be edited to match what your business is all about. They do not come with an author’s bio or outbound links; instead, you can provide your own information and links to the content. By adding your name to it, you’ve just started to build credibility for yourself without being an expert.

Cons

This type of content is sold numerous times too many other customers. The more it’s sold, the more chances you have of providing duplicate content. This drawback, however, is easily taken care of. Choose a PLR content site that limits the number of times the articles or reports are sold, and change them up to suit your own needs, then you can eliminate this problem quite easily.

Deciding which option will better serve your market; is totally up to you. Consider what goals you have for your business and keep both options in mind when looking for content. Think about which offers the best benefits for what you’re looking to do. Make a sound choice and you can reap the rewards of what they can bring for you.
