A Brief Guide to How YOUR Life Can Change for the Better. Copyright © 2005 Chris Jackson The Abundance Site http://www.theabundancesite.com/
One of the areas I particularly wish to work on in the course of
developing material for my website and when working with clients,
is explaining the actual nitty-gritty of how the processes of
positive change can and do actually manifest in our lives.
Lets say you are working in a dull low paid job that you do not
like. You have run up debts on your credit cards and you seem
trapped in a cycle of paying debt with no freedom to pursue
other interests etc. Your options seem very limited and you feel
trapped on the treadmill of life, going nowhere.
Theoretically you could clarify and focus your thoughts and
feelings around what you want sufficiently to be able to
"miraculously" find a new job, come into some unexpected money
and clear your debts.
That is basically how it works. As you focus more upon your wants
and less upon the lack of your wants you find opportunities
readily presenting themselves in your life. As you bring more
focused awareness to your successes than your failures you will
have more success. As you learn to trust your instincts,
intuition and hunches you will begin to feel safer in the face
of the apparent set backs on the path of your life.
The bad news is that whilst all this could happen overnight it
probably will not because such a transformation would actually be
a "shock" to your energy field and your current sense of self;
to such an extent that you probably would not be able to accept
your good fortune. It does not have to be like that but for most
people it is. Us humans tend to resist change and so change
comes slowly; we find it more comfortable that way, EVEN if the
changes are positive.
Another aspect to consider is risk. I have found that we need to
take risks in order to grow and learn to trust the processes of
life and furthermore that the risks we need to take may not be
very logical.
I call it "Saying Yes First". For instance, you want a new and
more fulfilling job that is better paid. You may just have to
quit the job you are in first. Why? Well by doing just that you
are in effect auto-channeling more energy into the process of
getting this wonderful job you want. The potential consequences
of being out of work and in debt are so horrendous that you
barely even think of them. This in turn means that your focus
towards wanting this new job is heightened as it becomes a very
real necessity. In effect you are saying YES I believe this and
I trust that I will be proved correct to believe it. I am
prepared to take the risk.
The trouble with this course of action is that it is risky and
may well backfire on you if your fear of the potential negative
consequences is greater than your desire for success. If this is
the case you will get into greater financial trouble and end
saying to yourself "I knew I shouldn't have done that" and lapse
back into feelings of being a victim of this harsh life.
One of my examples of doing this was when the tax authorities
here announced that I owed them hundreds of thousands of pounds
in taxes for self-employed sub-contractors that supposedly
should have been employees. This would mean total financial ruin
for my family and me. Somehow though it just seemed unreal, not
possible, but I was certainly very scared at times because you
never can tell can you? So after some meditation and quiet
reflection I actually leased a new Mercedes as an affirmation
that this was not the reality I was going experience. This car
was my ready connection to feelings of prosperity. Finally a
couple of years later the tax was settled at a relatively mere
£6,000.00 and I sold the Mercedes as it just did not seem to
"fit" anymore.
This is why only YOU can decide what is right for you and those
decisions will be your edge and your continuing challenge. Daring
to fully trust yourself to make decisions that you will honour
as being correct at the time (simply because you made them)
regardless of the potential outcome.
So in the fewest words I can muster today here is the summary of
"how" your life can change for the better.
* By dreaming yourself a new lifestyle you connect with the
"feeling" of living that life.
* That "feeling" state vibrates harmoniously with the universal
energy field and fresh ideas, impulses and opportunities occur
in your life.
* Acting upon those ideas, impulses and opportunities allows
your new life to materialise
* Continued focus on your part towards the life that you desire
increases your ability to manifest it. Your vision becomes
more real and less some dream-like flight of fantasy.
* This increased positive energetic focus "also" brings your
fears to consciousness for healing. There will be times when
you feel quite frightened. That is normal and a good sign!
* Your ability to remain focused upon a task or goal strengthens.
* Life takes on a magical quality as you come to positively
expect wondrous things to happen.
* Sometimes you think all of the above is a bunch of "hogwash!"
* You come to realise conclusively that "it isn't" and start
telling people about it.
