Crisscrossing Your Marketing

Call it marketing within marketing.

Most companies take advantage of multiple different types of marketing at once. They do not just get something like poster printing done, but they also set up a website with additional marketing. They get brochures meant to give people a larger amount of information along with the shorter forms of marketing meant only to get your name out there and start generating interest.

But you can combine many of these different forms, or link them together by mentioning one of them in the others.

Using the poster printing example along with brochures, here is what you do. Get a bunch of posters made up and put them up in various different locations around the city. The great thing about posters is that they can be placed in prime locations, and that they are by default meant to garner a wide amount of attention because of how easy to see they are.

Added to this is the fact that they are out in the open so quick, simple messages are going to be well received. But of course, you have to keep your message short if you want people to really read what your poster has to say. People are not going to take the time to devote a lot of their attention to reading your poster if you get too complicated.

Ok, so you have your posters up, and your posters are advertising a new product. This is something you just released so most people do not know a lot about it. Unfortunately you do not have room on your poster to really describe it, so you are forced to only put basic information such as an image of the product along with pricing and other simple details.

But what you can do is make a note at the bottom of your poster of where to go to get more information. Tell them to come into your store for further details, or go to this specific website in order to find out more.

Something else you could even do is to attach a holder to the base of the poster with brochures in it, and tell them on the poster to read the brochure for further details.

Now you get the benefits of the attention-grabbing poster printing, coupled with the better source of information that brochures contain.

By combining these two forms of marketing you are able to take advantage of the strengths each one contains, while avoiding the weaknesses.

What I am giving is just one example, and this can be applied to a wide variety of different marketing pushes. It is up to you to figure out different ways you can combine your marketing pushes together in order to gain the strongest results.

Find unique ways to augment your marketing, and you will have a much greater rate of success while avoiding the usual difficulties associated with each form of marketing.
