Weddings are an obvious very important step in a relationship, and it is important that you think carefully about what you want and how much you want to spend before you start booking things to worry about later. Wedding loans are on the increase with young couples but it is a natural preference for many to want to be able to start your life as a wedded couple free of debts that are likely to stick around for a long time afterwards.

It is understandably hard on one hand hard to say you have saved for over a year for a two week splash out that’s over quickly, but another to enjoy the splash and then have to face the brunt of the funds for a year afterwards without anything to look forward to. You are also much more likely to spend more than you need to if you get the money on credit rather than save a specific amount for use, as this will enforce more self discipline.

There are loads of saving schemes out there to help you get the best out of your savings, with interest really lending a hand to those looking to save for something in the fairly distant future. By setting yourself up a savings account you can be assured that your money is working hard for you as soon as it is deposited into the bank account.

Check out all the current saving rates that are available from banks and building societies to see what the best option is for your money. Be sure you look into if the amount of interest you are going to receive is likely to change after the introductory period, and if you will be penalised for taking money out of the savings account before a specified date. Often if you are getting a fantastic rate on savings there will be some amount of time you need to use the account.

Speak to a financial advisor about savings and which
savings accounts would be best. Getting your savings in order can make it easier than you thought to reach that target amount.
