Financial problems is one of the highest problems in America. So many people are in debt. There are a number of reasons why someone could be in debt. Here are just a few of them:

- Car loan
- Student loan
- House Payment
- Doctor Bills

To be honest with you, a car loan and house payment, is ..... well, not really a true debt, except for maybe... a car depreciates as soon as you drive it off of the lot. A mortgage payment, well... you can get a tax break from the enormous amount of interest that you pay.

Student loans are a true debt, in fact any type of loan is a true debt. Yes, you can pay for your college tuition in cash. I am not going to say that everyone can. Personally I did pay for it in cash. I worked and saved the money.

If you are going to Medical school "bless you". We need doctors "absolutely". It is incredibly expensive!! If you have to go into debt for that, take this tip--- Get on a Budget, and STICK TO IT!!

- bonus tip- If you can stay at home and your parents let you, "stay at home"!

Doctor bills are (yuck) unfortunately not something that you can help, but since I am discussing any type of debt, it is worth mentioning.

The one debt that people get into and they "can" help it is something called "STUFF". That is what I am going to focus on and I hope that these 8 tips will help someone stay out of debt.

"THESE ARE LIGHT-HEARTED TIPS, BUT HELPFUL NONETHELESS"

For starters let me give you the definition of debt:
Debt in short is something that is owed to someone else. It is not only talking about money; however, that is what it is usually associated with. Some of these tips are "no-brainers" but, it never hurts to repeat something that people get into all the time.

1. If you don't have the money for it, don't buy it.

2. Just because its" on sale" does not mean you need it. Pretty funny sometimes, but people will go buy something that they "do not" need, but they buy it anyways because its "on sale." You know you save more money if you don't buy it "period".

3. Just because you had it as a child does not mean your child needs it. (Yes, I have children and wow! there are so many awesome toys)

4. You do not need to keep up with the "Jones'".

5. If you absolutely have to have something, save up for it. Most likely it will still be there, and maybe you will find it later for cheaper!!

6. If you need to borrow something from someone, its OK! They will probably need to borrow something from you in the future.

7. Learn to say no. The hardest thing for anyone to learn is to say no! Yes, of course there are times when no is appropriate, and it is easy to say it, but most of the time, no is the best thing to say.

8. And Lastly, ...If you don't have the money for it don't buy it!! (sound familiar?)

These tips are short, sweet, to the point, and funny, but if you will apply it, you are bound to not only save money, but stay out of debt too!!

I hope you enjoyed these tips!
