Germany have taken advantage more than anyone as Iceland seen an increase of 63% from their tourists with France by 43% and England increasing by 20%. Iceland has seen a 16% increase of tourists in total compared to last year.
An expert has said that this is the silver lining to their cloud which has been caused due to the fall in its currency's value, the more visitors the better.
Iceland's popularity for holidays next year is set to increase a lot as more people are trying to go abroad for cheaper due to the credit crunch.
Cheap holidays are available by using online comparison sites, try booking all inclusive holidays or package holidays to save additional money.
