A few years back we would take out a credit card if we wanted to make a big payment whether it was for a holiday, new car or kitchen or even to pay for a wedding but rising inflation rates are forcing more and more people to seek credit cards to get them through their day to day life. Credit cards are even being offered to people especially for this reason, one being by Abbey is called the essentials card and it offers money back when purchasing fuel or food.

This is the opposite direction we need to head if we want to climb out of this black hole of recession. The economy needs to limit the borrowing and live beyond their means.

There are around 145 credit cards currently on the market now which has gone up a quarter from this time last year and there is a card for the majority of situations; short term borrowing, flexible repayments and many more. The number of credit cards currently circulating the UK is set at just over 67 million and is increasing all the time.

The ideal card we all aspire to own is obviously the 0% credit card; these offers have been restricted recently due to the tighter lending conditions from the banks. 0% credit cards are still on the market for around 12 months.

To obtain a 0% credit card your credit history has to be as clean as a whistle, impeccable for the lender to consider borrowing you a high amount of money.

A good way to obtain interest free credit cards is to search on line, you can compare hundreds of credit cards deals instantly to find the best cards for your wallet.
